The Pirates are still capturing ships. They have captured 9 ships in 12days.
Somali pirates seize ninth vessel in 12 days
The battle with pirates operating off the coast of Somalia grew yesterday when raiders seized two more ships but lost one of their own in an uneven firefight with the Indian Navy. The International Maritime Bureau (IMB) described the situation yesterday as “out of control”.
The surge in hijackings came as Saudi Arabia confirmed that a ransom demand had been made for the freeing of the Sirius Star supertanker, seized at the weekend with her crew of 25 and a cargo of oil worth $100 million (£65 million).
Two more vessels – a Thai fishing boat with a crew of 16, and a bulk carrier, believed to be Greek, with an unknown number of people aboard – were seized by pirates in the Gulf of Aden yesterday, bringing the total to nine vessels in 12 days.–The Times

I am just wondering, does Obama still think that Iran is not a threat???? It is too small right??? Well, with all the talks with Iran and the EU, Iran is still chugging away at making a nuclear weapon. When are we in the West going to figure out that Iran and most Muslim countries will lie to us and do it with a straight face??? It is part of their culture to lie to the infidel. NOW that Obama is President (or in the office of President-Elect), what will he do??? Is he going to have tea and biscuits with Iamanutjob , or will he finally figure out that they are a threat to the whole Middle East??? It is not looking good that he will do anything other than whatBubba did while in the White House (no, not get hummers while talking to diplomats), but send out the law after the terrorists and thug in chiefs. As we have seen, that does not work and only emboldens the them to do more. Pretty soonwe are going to have Al Queda in our court rooms, because the Loonies on the Left do not like Club Gitmo.
We are in perilous times and need a leader, not the “Present” President. Obama is going to have some tough decisions to make. And hopefully for all of us he will make good ones. But With the people he has surrounding him, I find it hard to believe he will. He has a whole lot of Clintonistas in his camp now,and we all saw what Bubba did to our military and foreign policy.
Iran said to have enough nuclear fuel for one weapon

Published: November 20, 2008
ran has now produced roughly enough nuclear material to make, with added purification, a single atom bomb, according to nuclear experts analyzing the latest report from global atomic inspectors.
The figures detailing Iran’s progress were contained in a routine update on Wednesday from the International Atomic Energy Agency, which has been conducting inspections of the country’s main nuclear plant at Natanz. The report concluded that as of early this month, Iran had made 630 kilograms, or about 1,390 pounds, of low-enriched uranium.
Several experts said that was enough for a bomb, but they cautioned that the milestone was mostly symbolic, because Iran would have to take additional steps. Not only would it have to breach its international agreements and kick out the inspectors, but it would also have to further purify the fuel and put it into a warhead design — a technical advance that Western experts are unsure Iran has yet achieved.
“They clearly have enough material for a bomb,” said Richard Garwin, a top nuclear physicist who helped invent the hydrogen bomb and has advised Washington for decades. “They know how to do the enrichment. Whether they know how to design a bomb, well, that’s another matter.”—International Herald Tribune
